I purchased "Pretty Things" and it is one of the best pairs of tennis shoes I have had in a long time. I am very difficult to fit in tennis shoes. Normally I wear size 8.5M, but in recent years have had to go up to size 9; even a size 9 1/2 in another brand tennis shoe. As more shoes are made in China, they are tending to become shorter. Don't mind going up a size, but often that means wider shoes for my narrow heel and narrow/medium width foot. Especially in a walking tennis shoe, this is a problem. Either my toes are pressing against the very tip of the shoe, or my foot is sliding and I have to wear heavy socks ... especially difficult in humid hot coastal areas! Also, the breaking in period always leaves blisters on my little toes if the shoe is narrow enough.I ordered a size 9 and pleasantly surprised; there is extra room in the length for my toes (1/8" to 1/4"), the mesh gives where it should, and the laces help to make it as narrow as I need in the heel without huge pressure on my toes. The shoes are flattering with cushioned padding, and no breaking in period! I took a short walk the first day and the bottom feels good and solid, no wobbling, and my feet were not killing me! I felt a little discomfort on my pinkies from running around barefoot too much lately, but this style is a home run for me!I have now ordered backup shoes for when these wear out (hard to find the colors I wear most-red/gold/black in a style that works), and another color since I am so hard to fit and I hate shopping for necessity walking shoes. In all honesty, I will probably never use the step counting feature, and hope they reduce the price and get rid of that technology that runs the price up. Most people use their watch to count steps if so inclined ... I am just glad to get out the door and move!Don't know if these will hold up in the long run, but seem solid. At this price, they do need to last awhile! Also, hope more styles in the future have the red/gold/black colors (preferably more neutral without so many flowers, not all of us are teenagers), add cobalt blue/gold/black, keep the mesh for comfort, and the band of "leather" around the sides to prevent your foot from spreading and looking too big.RECAP: If you have narrow to slightly over medium width feet, the medium width will be great. The style is flattering in larger sizes without making you look like you have huge feet. A slight lift in the heel would make it feel and look even better, but it is still such an improvement over other shoes I have bought. For reference if you wear 8.5- 9, size 9 should fit fine. If your foot is narrower, you can lace the shoes tighter; they are not bad to come untied and trip you. I would NOT go up a size like some are recommending if you have medium/slightly over feet; however, M width is not wide (which is great for me), so will want the wider width if tneed more room.
